The two initial collaborated in 1992 for the one “Give U My Coronary heart,” the soundtrack to the movie Boomerang. This will be Babyface's first album launch in seven decades and Braxton's first new album since 2010.
The album features hits “Hurt You” and “Where Do We Go Wrong”. On Like, Marriage Divorce, Toni Braxton and Babyface, innovative partners heading back again to the early '90s, rekindle their musical relationship.
Both endured broken relationships, and presumably it's those encounters that inform the material here - a succinct selection of 11 songs, eight of which are usually duets. The importance is on divorce, indicated from the really starting on “Roller Coastér,” where Babyface gets into with “Today I obtained so mad at you, it'beds like I couldn't handle myself.” The place surface finishes with the bittersweet “The Deb Word,” seemingly a Sade homage, in which Babyfacé confesses “You still possess my center, forever and actually and actually.” Moments that deviate from problems of passionate strife are few. The duo don't seem nearly as connected to them. “Sweat,” a slinking groove, is certainly like the “Love During Battle” to Robin Thicke's i9000 “Love After War,” while “Coronary heart Strike,” near the album'beds end, is a retro-disco shift that appears more like a thrów-in than á essential component of the album. The sequence of tunes plays out like moments on shuffle. Eithér that, or thé connection is extremely upward and lower; the performers sometimes sound as if they are usually handling ex-lovers from some other relationships.
